Originally born in Germany, Hanno Wessel studied fashion at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris and went on to work in haute couture for a number of years before eventually launching on his own label in1994.

With warmer weather gradually making an appearance we've hand picked a little edit of separates and dresses to see you through the coming months.

We are now fully in a Spring mood as we begin to gently emerge back into the world after the strangest of years and to celebrate we have decided to launch edit 2 a little earlier than planned.

What could be a more perfect combination for the spring weather than our new best friends, slides and socks? Right now we're enjoying this easy to wear and comfortable pairing so much and love how it's elevating our favourite outfits as we transition out of winter and into warmer days.

Back in late summer, early autumn we were busy prepping and organising ahead of our SS21 shoot here in Woven’s home town of Brighton. I was on the look out for a location that would work with our brand ethos and ideally somewhere local due to ever changing restrictions and government announcements when The Studio popped up on my Instagram feed.

Founder and designer Anna grew up in Mora in the Dalarna province of central Sweden where there is a strong tradition of handicrafts. At a very young age Anna was taught to knit and to sew by her mother and grandmothers eventually studying at the Swedish School of Textiles in Boras and then at Beckmans College of design in Stockholm where her 1994 degree collection became the first Nygårdsanna collection.

We have been looking forward to launching this year’s first spring edit since the collection was signed off last autumn and now that it’s landed we are delighted to finally share it with you.

As we emerge from the winter season, could there be any better time than now to take a look in the wardrobe and decide what we do and don’t need. It’s a well known fact that we only ever wear approximately one third of what we own and by removing the overwhelm of choice we promise you dressing will become so much easier!

In response to this seismic lifestyle shift and a need for wardrobe pieces that fulfil the checklist of dressing comfortably while still looking good for that last minute Zoom meeting or walking the dog we have upgraded our “at home” experience with the introduction of this season’s loungewear edit.
