We are constantly evaluating our store and its purpose within the fashion retail industry and how we can make our customers experience stand out. The industry has seen some dramatic changes over the last 5 years with the pandemic being in the mix shifting shoppers to online purchasers and forcing store closures through the UK.

For us, there is nothing better than a good in-store experience that leaves our customers feeling happy and inspired. Our aim is to ensure everyone feels welcome, gets the attention they need from knowledgable staff and for them enjoy our evolving creative studio space. Of course, this goes hand-in-hand with curating a great selection of products that fit with our timeless style and ethos. We buy into brands that can’t be found on every high street, focusing on clever design, thoughtful details, impeccable production quality and beautiful fabrics. We question where and how the garments we sell are made and what customers it will appeal to. Our definite style enables us to offer seasonal collections that work together, we buy as many transitional pieces as we can that can be worn year round by changing up layering. If I had to sum up our look it would be easy, everyday, 'not too tidy' clothing that is pretty minimal but with a point of difference like an interesting silhouette or fabric texture.

Our bricks and mortar store is situated down a side street in Hove, near Brighton and was previously a working garage. It’s now a shared studio for creatives so there’s always something going on behind the shop section. We are slightly obsessive about our environment, always trying to create an interesting look, burning the right scent and playing the right music, it’s what makes us different. It was important that our store fittings were adaptable so we can devise a fresh journey through the store throughout the year and be reactive to new stock drops. We host various makers in-store which is such a joy  learning about their craft and introducing their products to our woven folk.

Online shopping is here to stay and whilst we think visiting us is the best option we know that’s not always doable. We try to be as personal as we can for our community of online shoppers, always here for styling, fit or size advice via our chat box, DM’s or over the phone. Our customers really appreciate this as it helps them make informed buying decisions. We are also happy to send detailed videos of specific items to help them.

At woven store we try to be responsible and as sustainable as possible firstly by not over buying stock and trying to react to best sellers in-season, at the end of each season we have a minimal amount of stock left keeping waste down. Secondly all our packaging is recycled, biodegradable and we only use plant based printing, we pack our goods using the least amount of necessary packaging as we can. We recycle our waste and refill any eco cleaning products. We still have room for improvement but are working towards being better.

You can find our store at Studio 50, 50 Brunswick Street West, Hove. Sussex. BN3 1EL. We open Wednesday to Saturday 10-5 each week.
