To extend the life of gold plating, avoid wearing when showering, applying lotion, using harsh cleaning supplies or exercising. To clean, buff gently with a soft and dry 100% cotton cloth or a micro fibre cloth. Do not use jewellery cleaner or a polishing cloth on plated jewellery as this will buff off the 18k gold layer.
