This season we have collaborated with Woven friend Becky who visited our studio this month and styled our Spring collection her way. Becky has a great understanding of how to get the most from your clothes.
Becky has worked in the fashion and styling industry for over 20 years and began her ‘journey’ working in small designer boutiques, from there she moved on to becoming a freelance stylist. A few years later she set up, ran and managed the personal shopping business at Fenwick in Kingston which went on for 14 years and during lockdown before returning to freelance work and the launch Styling By Bec.
‘I approach every client with empathy. I understand that fashion can feel intimidating and unattainable to some, but I firmly believe in breaking down those barriers by helping everyone enjoy the benefits of fashion; no matter what their age, size or budget. I encourage my clients to build a sustainable wardrobe, often helping them find pre-loved items that would work with their current wardrobe. I offer Wardrobe Edit, Personal Shopping and Style Your Wardrobe services, always being flexible if the client would like to combine or tweak a service.’
‘Clothes and accessories are fun, but when they are put together well, they can also be a fantastic tool in helping to build self-confidence, a better body image and even happiness. Over the years I have helped women and men who are recovering from illness, bereavement and divorce, and people who are coping with body changes after giving birth or having had surgery. It may seem superficial, but I have seen how clothes can transform and empower people. If you can dress with confidence, it is extremely liberating.’
